Purple skid? Hmmmm....I probably wouldn't have mentioned that if knowone could notice If you get bored with the hoodie emblem....you could always put it on a chain and wear it.....

I saw that gold one earlier. That one is definately beyond bling..... I've seen Toyota emblems that glow neon.....Oh no....I shouldn't have mentioned that....someone will want one.......

The griil does look good though..........

I would attach that to the Satoshi stuff... That gives me ideas..

Quick question, people paint their Satoshi mesh stuff right? Does it peel or anything? Or do I buy it in black?
Also, how do I attach ornaments on it? Such as the Yota SYMBOL, not the letters, I like the symbol much better.

The symbol is bolted on to the factory grill so just get some nuts and washers and you're good to go.
Painting or not painting is up to you... some folks have used the flexible black plastic screen/mesh while most seem to use the metal screen/mesh.
Any good quality metal should work well just follow can inst. and make sure it is well shaken before and during painting. You could add a coat of clear as well if you wanted some extra protection from stone dings.

The best version of the Satoshi I have seen is the one of a dude from Ireland. It was metal just like that one, but had the "Hilux" logo down in the right bottom corner as you look at the front of the grill. Holy smokes that looked hot. Otherwise, I think it is a waste of a mod.

^^ i really liked that one maybe if i get some kind of paint scheme i will paint the grill to match. i am shocked that one of my posts has hit 2 pages!!
as for a waste of a mod??? the main reason i did this was to place lights behind it... so it does has a function. and for 7 bucks.. it the cheapest i have done...

Yep, that is the one! I just like functional mods...I would rather not spend money on just looks. I would rather have a nice set of tires than spend money on rims...but that is neither here nor there.

what colour paint did you use to redo the chrome parts of the grill, it looks great but is hard to ID in the pic.

Mod looks cool, I am ready to my Satoshi grill too. I am looking to put an older Toyota emblem on the mesh part of the grill, most likely off to one side, not centered.

Your hood ornament: reminds me of the Hilux (Tacoma) Trucks over here in Japan - some have a nice Hilux emblem as a hood ornament - looks sharp. I have not seen a Toyota emblem like yours as a hood ornament though.

I am going to go with black mesh.

I like the grill, looks nice but the hood ornament kills it.
It's a 4runner, not a Cadillac.

Just had a thought, re: hood ornaments... what about a smaller version of an anti-air gun sight?
food for thought...
