That's weird. My 01 has the CC on the right side, just like my 98 and 02 4Runners did.

Here is a pic of what mine looks like. Never seen one like yours. Maybe it's aftermarket.

We needed another 4door vehicle since we have a 1yr old and are planning on more (all we had was her car and my small ext. cab ranger). So the runner was the sensible choice since I was going to keep my truck for work. I have wanted a 4door tacoma forever (but they were always a little pricey) so when my wife took over the 4runner I was actually pretty excited cause I knew that meant she would let me sell her car and my truck (which she already hated 'cause she was always the one stuck in the ext. cab part) and look for a tacoma. Still can't believe their both in my driveway.

Now I don't care which car she takes cause i love em both and both are 4x4.
