Duck:

I just did my lift a few days ago and was wondering...
How much thread do you have showing between the collar and the bottom of the shock in the front on the SAW's.

Also are your fins on your CV's touching a little as well.

It differs.. unless im wrong.. its late and raining, but its near 2" on the passenger side and near 3" on the drivers.. i think ill check that sometime after it settles... Im sure its level, we measured each side from the wheel up to the fender...

and it does look like the fins of the CV boot is touching..

hey ducky you don't need any lines for the front, you just need the one for the back. nice rig, looks alot like my haha, only I haven't gotten my hood with the scoop yet. it's still at my buddy's, he's going to paint to for me but he's doing it free so I have to wait until he gets a spare minute.

not to but-t in but I have 84mm of thread showing on the pass side and 86mm on the drivers side. I measured in metric because my scale was easier to read like that. I do have fins touching, majorly. here's a shot of the wear. I have a closer pic if you need to see better. after a while it will wear through. that's when it'll be time to do the ORS manual hub conversion.

Very nice. I think I may need to shuffle some of my next mods and push this close to the top of the list!

Very nice dude.

Love the black with the hood scoop.
Hope it wasn't too bad removing the OEM shocks.

Congrats.

No problem, thanks for the input...
I guess I am a little confused on the manual hub swap.
I have read this a little in some previous threads but when i search by "cv boot" or"cv" anything for that matter the search engine tells me that the word does not have the minimum 3 characters.
Anyway, When the time comes and your CV is torn or leaking or making noise, etc. why switch to the manual hubs and not replace the CV Boot and joint.
Is it expense? And correct me if I am wrong but, once the manuals are in...you can never shift into 4wheel on the fly again. Correct? I mean you always have to get out, turn your hub and then get back in the car.
Can someone shed some light on this conversion for me.
Thanks
Dave

because then you can disable the ADD and also the cv's won't spin in 2WD since the hubs are unlocked. the cv's spin in 2WD on our runners as they are right now, that is what causes the boot wear. it is about $1000.

that's right. but that is actually better, unless you're lazy, because your hubs are freewheeling in 2WD so your joints aren't spinning.
