My back seat is clear (New Speaker Box)
I used to have a speaker box that took up the whole back seat of my 1997 Tacoma. I don't usually have anybody sit in the back, but I wanted to be able to put somebody back there if I need to.
So I came up with this box to save space.
It will hold just about any 10" reguardless of the depth. It could also be made large enought to hold a 12". I run it with a 360 watt Kicker amp. It sound better than when I ran two of the same ten inch speakers in the trunk of my Mustang. It has about 1 cubic foot of air space so it makes some low bass.
I want to cover it with some type of textured paid so that it looks as little like a speaker box as possable. I think that I might also incorperate some kind of cup holder in the top of the box.
What does everybody think.

Help Me
I don't know what's going on with the pictures.
here's what I did to post them.
I click on the "User CP" and then viewed the attachments from the from the box on the left side of the screen. I then clicked on them, it gave me a window with the picture in it. I copied the address from the address bar and posted it in the body of the message I wrote.
If any body has any suggestions I would be glad to hear them. I'm sure it's something pritty simple that I'm missing.

I don't know what's going on. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea. Are you putting a box in the middle of the back seat so the seats can still fold down? I have been looking into the stealth plate idea. Do a search for stealth plate and it will show you, I know the bass won't be booming but I don't want a box taking up the back seat. Any good ideas pass them on, that's why I am so interested in seeing these pics.

Not bad not bad!!
Now just use a 1/2" round over bit on all the edges and corners to make them nice and round, then strech some fleece from the main body back to the rear portion and glass it, so it's more flowing. Sand with 100grit then carpet to match interior and you will have a proffessional looking install!
Nice woodwork btw.
