If you're not supercharged, I'd suggest stock 2.25" piping and a 30" straight through magnaflow. Definite increase in top end power with minimal low end loss. The sound is slightly louder than stock with 2.25" piping, with a nice low growl on acceleration, very sporty aggressive sound at WOT, not ricey.
2.5" piping IMHO is not necessary on NA motors and will drone for sure. I have the suggested Magnaflow and 2.5" with an upgraded s/c and it still drones with a hint of rice below 2500rpm on acceleration, but won't drone on highway or higher speeds at all. I'm gonna put a resonator on since I'm only going for the performance bennies.
IMHO the difference in piping does make a difference. Not only in exhaust tone, but also in low end torque loss and overall flow. I had both sizes with the 30" mag and it's noticeable. I stuck with the 2.5" after seeing hp went up by 10-15hp across the board on the dyno, and that's with forced induction.

My muffler shop put on a of the shelf turbo muffler never did say the brand, couldnt tell a bout power as the truck was new to and never drove it till i rebuilt the 22 re but a couple of years later it has a nice sound. I'm sure it was'nt a fancy one cause cat back including the muffler was only like a buck and a quarter or so.

I'm looking to get the FM 50 soon, 2.25 I/O but what offset of the inlet/outlet should I get? It's snowy here now and I don't feel like getting under the truck to figure it out, lazy I guess!

jesus guys..we're talking MAYBE one or two horsepower...you WILL NOT notice that LITTLE gain EVER...now you may notice a better throttle response..or a peppier 0-60 or something..but you'll not notice the 1 or 2 horsepower
go with whatever tickles your fancy LMAO

Here you go. I think they take off like 10 to 15% off if you ask. I got them to go from 10% to 15% off on my IS-F. But like camo said dont expect much hp just tone, but it sounds awesome.
