Muffler Question???

Can someone please explain the difference b/w a Ultra Flow and Turbo muff. from Dynomax, Magnaflow also has a normal and then a Turbo type muffler? The Ultra Flow muff. seems to have a better flow rate, but it seems as though everyone runs the Super Turbo Dynomax. Can someone please clarify this for me and what are the positives and negetives of either one? Thanks guys.

My decision to go with the superturbo was based on the quieter sound, but still had the flowrate the truck needed for best performance in it's curtrent configuration, which is stock with a deckplate mod. I'm pretty new here too, but it seems that those that want roaring muffs, go with the Ultraflow type muffs. Those that want a performance gain, but not all the sound, go with Dynomax super turbo type muffs. Either way, your truck will have better air flow and sound better.

Well I want the roar, or at least a nice bark at the tail pipe, so I think I'll be going with the Ultra Flow or a nice Magnaflow system. Thanks Juppers.

I have no clue that the differences are, when I was asking around about what Muffler I should get, I was told that the Magnaflow the louder one, so I went with that because I wanted a loud one. I had no clue which one to get, so I went with the same one Corey got because he's so happy with it.

The Magnaflow that Corey and I have (Part# 11225) has a VERY nice bark/rumble below 3000RPMs and it kind of mellows up until it hits 4000RPMs then it really goes It's such an awesome sound to be cruising around town at like 30mph and hear the truck growling I've noticed lately that I get some very strange looks when i'm driving around town (not because I have my head out the window ) because where I live there's only one other 4Runner that's modified, and he has a flowmaster on his. So it's VERY rare around here to hear a 4Runner growling like that
