Who else has driven through Virginia?

Last week I drove to NYC from North Louisiana (Grambling). Before the trip I had the radiator flushed and changed my plugs (all stock NGK's). This trip took me through La, Mississippi, Alabama, a hint of Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey and NY. I kept a pretty good log of my gas mileage along the way. Usually my long distance mileage is around 20, and on a good 21.5. This was pretty much the case during this trip. However, on one stop as I was going through Virginia, my math said that I got about 23.5 MPG (with the taligate up!) !!! This is the best mileage I've gotten by almost 2 miles per. It was never that high during any other stretch of the trip. I kept the crooz control on 70 pretty much the entire time. I know that Virginia uses an ethanol mix, and I'm pretty sure that Texas and La. don't...but I thought that was supposed to hurt mileage?
Anyway, I just did a transfusion on the truck with Royal Purple. I'll be heading back to NYC again in a few days. I keep tabs on the MPG to see if the numbers repeat. Maybe I was just high from the corn liquor fumes wafting from the gas pumps in ol' Virginny ...
