Question MPG/Performance with 285's and a s/c?

Time for new tires and I'm looking at BFG A/T 285's. Researching here, It seems like 1-2 mpg is average drop going from 265/75/R16's (what I got now) to 285/75/R16's along with a minimal loss of power.

I couldn't find much info from the supercharger people (with or without fuel upgrades) running 285's. So if you're out there, I'd love some input on mpg and/or power changes you've experienced from jumping up to 285's.

^^That's not too bad, I can see a little better with the manual.

I'm running around 15-17 as it is now and I'd hate to drop much lower.

same here, the mud terrains are terrible on the road and i simply do not do enough off roading to justify them, i am to the point of needing new tires now and will definatly be getting all terrains next time.

U guys are getting the same, if not better than my non s/c'd. I only get 15mpg with 285 MT's. Ive thought about boosting mine for a while now but im worried how worse my fuel mileage might get.

I considered MT's for a while; sounds like I made the right decision not to go with them. I hear a lot of that though so maybe they don't pair well with the 3rd gens.

That's odd, you should be able to squeeze out a little more than 15mpg.

The reality is most people see 16-18 city driving with bone stock 4Runners;I like acceleration and I get 16-17 with my 265/75s and hwy numbers jump to about 21-22 if it's all highway.
