It could be because they were used to start with... It's hard for a company to stand behind a deal like that when they can't control the history of the product.

You could always ditch the wheel weights and use some equal(sugar) to balance the tires. That will typically work better with larger tires. Also, it may sound stupid but taking it to a truck stop to have them balanced since they have machines that are capable of handling larger tires.

You add equal inside the tire and as the wheel is moving it will throw it all around balancing out the tires. It is for real. A lot of the larger tires(36+ some 35's) have trouble balancing with wheel weights so adding sugar is a good alternative.

Example: My brother had 38.50 swampers on his k5. Took it to everyone to try and get it balanced noone could get them properly balanced using an excessive amount of wheel weights so he needed to resort to adding equal in his tires. Worked like a charm. (Of course the amount of equal will vary depending on how much extra weight is needed to balance the tires)

Now the equal is not actually sugar but it is very similar. Kind of gives you the right idea though.

Yeah, Im taking them to a truck stop in the next few weeks. I had been there before and they are really cool. Plus its a friend of a friend, and he usually hooks me up. He's just 3 hours away... doh!

The shop told me they "ran out" of weights to put on the inside. I think they were a bunch of rookies.
