more gear questions?

I'm still pondering re-gearing the differentials on my truck. I've been reading up a whole lot lately. My first big question is has anyone with 5.29's in the front and rear had a lot of trouble with premature wear or failure under normal road driving and occasional offoad driving. (wanting to put 35's in my truck, '89 4x4, 22re, some engine mods, and 4" superlift) Another, what brand would you recommend: yukon, richmond, superior, precision, u.s. gear, or any other that someone might know of? any help is much appreciated.

I know Steve S has 5.29's in his rig, and I also think that Adrian (BigFlygt) has 5.29's in his.

As far as companies go, you will mainly get recommendations for Precision. I think people have also said decent things about Yukon gears.

I have 5.29 Precisions. If they are set-up right and you are not running huge tires with a spool and blowing up axle shafts, you will have zero issues using these gears.

Schaefer has way more gearing than I do, so his gears are effectively seeing more load. He has not blown anything up and he wheels more than members M to Z combined.
