Hi, this is my first post after having searched through a lot of helpful threads. I recently purchased an '01 sr5 4x4 w/ supercharger 76k miles, and it needs a little tlc. The previous owner had sealed the moonroof shut. When I press the button I can hear the motor turning, and when I press the opposite direction all I can here is a click. Looking at the glass it doesn't appear to be miss aligned. I assume the roof was leaking causing them to seal it up, not knowing about the drain issues. I plan on checking out the motor tonight. All that I need to do to inspect it is remove the "console" where the switches are right?

 

I pulled the motor this evening, and it checked out ok. The grease in the cables has turned to crud. I haven't read anything on here about cleaning them out. So I guess I'll just continue my search and close it back up.
