MoonRoof leaks and is offtrack

Currently... my sun/moon roof has wooden blocks pressing it up and silicon caulk keeping the water out.

any suggestions on how to fix/ modify... something to have an operational roof unit again.

or perhaps replace it with a different one.

any thoughts?

c'mon... someone has to have had this problem?

the motor turns but the sunroof doesn't move. there's a 'threaded' cable it seems that should be hooked up to the glass...

i don't really like how much headroom it takes up. i'd rather just have it manual... lock, unlock, slide... all by hand. cause that's the way i've been doing it for about a year now anyway. until i moved to washington. and then i just had to park it and caulk it to keep the water out.

any creative ideas?

I have a pdf file detailing how it works if you want to get into it. It's for a '91 4runner but might be applicable to yours.

Looking at your sig pic, i can understand how your sunroof might get off track. Sorry to hear about it though. Hopefully you can figure something out.
