Mobil 1 Syn multi-vehicle atf?

hey guys, any of you use that in your dexIII trannies? i think its from 2003 and earlier yota auto trannies.... no one sells the plain dex\merc M1 syn atf. its all multi-vehicle now.. i keep hearing that yeah its fine for dexIII trannies but i wasnt sure. the website isnt up to date on synthetic atf info though the regular mobil multi-vehicle atf says its fine in yota dexIII trannies. can i assume that its the same for the syn version of m1's multi-vehicle atf??

thanks fellas

my personal oppinion is to just stick with whatever the dealer recomends or whatever the service manual suggests for ATF. When your entire transmission is rellying on fluid pressure and density i feel that its best to stick to what it was designed for.

I'm using this http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...hetic_ATF.aspx Mobil 1 ATF in my 2001 tranny. I also use it for my power steering.

the only synthetic atf i can get is M1 multi-vehicle or Castrol DexIV.

i want the M1 dex\merc but they quit selling it in my area. i have been using maxlife dex\merc and just wanted to switch to synthetic but those are my only choices for local buys.

talked to a rep at Mobil and he said the M1 syn multi-vehicle IS spec'd for dexron. bc not all dexron vehicles are GM where dexVI is required.. so i dunno, Mobil reps have been known to lie like crazy
