the dying your speaking of is called "dipping". They dip the glass into a liquid and leave it there. Itcovers all surfaces, inside and out. One thing it dosent offer is any UV protection. Its purely cosmetic. And its not privacy. You cant see out, they cant see in. With film you CAN see out, but they cant see in...

the only dippin of glass is only taken when the whole car/truck/suv is made from the main plant. factory smoked glass like suburbans, minivans, all in the rear is ok that's why they come tinted already. its only the front two that give you problems with. factory tint, or factory smoked glass come in 15% or 20% depending on what suv/truck were talking about.
the lower the percentage the darker the tint is the higher the lighter.
dye, is a window film, its non shiny, no good material, its only a 3year warranty, that's why you see many cars with the back winodw full of bubbles. or purple.

theres no such thing. back in the old days they use to spray the tint. but that was a long long time ago, long long long time ago.
dipping there is no such thing. only if you take out the glass on cars/trucks which is better because you give your car a factory look. which is the way we do it at our shop.

That looks like it might be for cars. In most states they have differnent tinting regs than say SUV's or Pickups. For example legal on a car is 35% from drivers/pass windows back. On an SUV the front drivers/pass glass is 35% and back is as dark as you want. I think it is this way in quite a few states. WV I know for sure and I'm pretty sure about Maryland and NC. The best way to find out is go to the tinting shop and ask. If you want tint darker than legal you usually have to sign a waver.

yes good point, i forgot to mention, your allowed any tint on theback section of acar or truck, suv,
just the fronts you have to know what you can put on in each state.

in North Carolina you can only have 35% on the front drivers and passenger sides. anything behind the driver can be spray painted black if u really wanted. the ones on my 94 toyota are 5% all the way around, and the front window with 5% like 8 inches down it. Which i got a ticket for the drivers and passengers window being that dark. they called another cop who had a tester and they tested to be 17.8% visablity lol. they had faded on me! haha but i got a $175 dollar ticket i payed and never removed the tint. They say its because they can not see into my vechile and thats dangours to them.
