What's the max. tire size I can fit on a '96 sr5 4runner after installing the 3 inch bilstein suspension lift?

I'm currently running Dueler AT's in 265/75R16, and have no issues whatsoever (rubbing, etc) and on stock toyota wheels. In theory i would keep these wheels at least for the time being. What size tire should i look for?

You should be able to fit a 285 75r16 or 305 70r16 which are 33" tires. You might get a little scrub on the 305 as it's nearly 2" wider than stock tire. I think a 315 75 r16, which is a 35" tire) is going scrub too much for enjoyment with stock wheels.

I don't have that set-up in front of me, but you're talking about a tire that is almost 5 inches wider than stock.

You can't run a 35" tire without re-gearing and trimming, 33" x 12" will require a different offset rim or it will rub the upper control arm especially will sidebiters, most tire companies will advise you to go to a wider rim after you get to 33".
