OK, this is my final question - hopefully. Could I purchase some drop shocks? I saw some 2", 1"-5", etc., Drop Shocks at TruckPerformance.com. Would this allow me to lower my truck safely and also maintain a well working suspension? They claim to bolt right in, like stock. Thanks.

I debated for a bit, but I have to say I am going to resurect this thread because I am curious enough what this kid did with his truck, and I would also like to ask what he was TRYING to do, he was willing to sacrifice reliability of some parts, ride comfort, all for stiff suspension, I've been there beleive me, but never in a lowrider truck, why would you NEED such a tight suspension? We had an Mx6 racecar, now that I can understand being tight, but your not carving corners and trying to go crazy in an 86 toy p/u, so what gives?

He is looking to make a lowrider truck, its a somewhat popular idea but here we dont have a clue and dont really like them.

Honestly if you wanna drop it your ride quality will mimick a stiff racecars and be very uncomfy to go over any bumps.

Since he started this thread, he had also started one wanting to know how to lift his truck, https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f31/lifting-bigger-tires-locker-1986-2wd-pickup-66787/ Not sure exactly what he's up to now since its been 10 months since he's been on here.

maybe he lifted the rear, dropped the front, and put a V-8 in it.
