Low profile roof rack mounts for surco

I've been looking for some lower profile mounts for my surco, to attach to the stock channels on the roof. Anyone know where to find them? I know I've seen them before.

Thanks.

Well, thanks for the link dude! I think those are the "stock" ones. I think some other company besides surco made them, but, I could be wrong.

Thanks again!

i know someone had cut theirs down and rewelded. i think thats what i will eventually do, there is alot of wasted space under that rack that would serve better as more upper clearance.

i hated the gap between the roof and the safari rack itself , iv yet to find a company to make low profile mounts, now my roof rack is in my attic, i dont want to put it back on until i find some way to mount it lower

(hijack) Sc4runner your 4runner is freakin sweet (end/hijack)

Might want to check with Lee on UY. I thought he had some before he parted w/ his surco. Although, the more I think about it, I believe he had some custom low pro mounts made.

I'm in the market for one and i stumbled on this. It talks about a "lowrider" 4.0, but surco's website doesn't say anything about it, so I don't know.

This basket doesn't sit any lower on the mounts. This basket is 4" tall vice the regular 5" tall basket. So you are still going to have the big gap between the bottom of the basket and roof.

Yeah, I got a welder, but, I need to go find some extra steel to reinforce the welds since I got no skills

Just thought I would post this here since this is where I looked before I ended up making my own mounts.
