Just bought a 2001 Taco and noticed that the bolt securing the driver's side of the tailgate is loose. Figured this would be an easy fix but other end is more or less sealed up in a part of the body the sits just underneath the tail light. You can kind of snake part of your hand up there from underneath, but there is no way to get a wrench in there.

I don't want my gate falling off when loading my 300 lbs motorcycle. Solutions?

 

Put the tailgate down and use a long socket to get at it from the top.
