do you guys know where i can get some ome tow hooks for my 97 rig? i was in an accident 4 years ago , they fixed up the front half. I didnt notice that i'm missing one of my tow hooks. also i'm going to install a 2002 skid plate, the bolts for the hooks are sorta rusted. do they also sell the bolts? i'm going to cut off the old ones and install new ones.

 

I just bought 2 hooks from Lowes for $6.99 ea (they are in the trailer hitch/wiring section). The bolts they come with won't work though. I just went to a hardware store and matched up the thread and length with what I needed, pretty straight forward. I think I used 12mm, 8.8 grade, fine thread bolts.

 

FYI, 4runners and trucks come with only 1 tow hook.

 

how do you mount the 2002 skid plate? the directions for the tacoma says you need the hooks to install the skid plate. can i buy another one?
