Line-Xing Parts

Have any of you guys ever thought of having your fender flares, bumpers, rocker panels or whatever Line-Xed? I am thinking about going with this look being I have seen the work that my local Line-X shop has done on not only their personal rigs but customers rigs. Its kinda cool! Anyones opinions are wanted.

i think that would be cool, but if you get it on the sliders and you actually used the sliders then you have to take them back and get them re-done. and personally i think it would look kinda funny on the flares. just my 2 cents

Type in CentralWashingtonOffroaders@Groups.Aol.Com on your browser and it should take you to the Aol hometown page. Type CWOffroaders in a search and you will find my club. The Sammy is in the pics section.

I've given thought to doing the lower rockers, wheel wells and front air dam. I wouldn't want to do too much more than that - the stuff is heavy! Maybe you could get a thinner coating than is typically put on truck beds since you won't be trowing tools and bricks and stuff at those areas. Just my 18,456 Dinars.

I have seen a FJ40 with the entire outside Rhino Lined, It look SWEEEET. My brother is going to do the same with his FJ. One things to consider with these types of products is that it doesn't crack or chip, but the stuff it is covering does. I have read about a truck in the Baja 500 that crossed the finish line and the roll cage fell out onto the trail because there was no indications of stress fractures from previous races. Luckly they did not find out the HARD way that this product was covering up major problems. They are excelent products but I would not recomend using this type pf product on Roll Bars, Frames or Sliders. The government has covered the walls of the Pentagon with Line X because it is blast proof.
You can take the material out or add "grit" to make the texture you perfer, not sure which product. Good luck removing this stuff if you don't like it.
