Lights...video

There was a thread not to long ago on lights that had a video that showed the lights being shot at by a shotgun and other stuff to show how tough they were. What kind of lights were they? Or can someone direct me to the thread.

Thanks

And yes, I searchrd many terms and spent alot of time looking but could not find it.

240 H.I.D. Blitz 9.5" 1.5 million candle power - About $1500

The "normal" driving lights are 170-280 depending on model

yea, I love my Lightforce 170's. they are really really bright and they are quite tough, I haven't shot at them though since they are mounted on my truck but I can say they are amazing lights, well worth the cash. do yourself a favor though, fork out the dough for the LightForce wiring kit as well. Mike at Extreme can get the lights and the harness for you.

I paid around 90 each for the lights and then another 30 for the harness. I guess the total was about $230 after shipping. check out my vid on my site to see what the look like, I don't think I turned them on during the video but you can at least see what they look like mounted on a TJM T15.

I just got a relay from a friend, and like $3 for a roll of wire. The most expensive thing I got to install mine, was the $20 factory fog switch from the stealer. I don't see how most lights charge an extra $30 for a "wiring kit".

probably because the one I got for $30 had was already cut to length and all the relays and plugs and fuses and a switch already installed. less hassle. let's see: $20 for a switch, $3 for wire, some connectors, a fuse and holder, well rob, that seems pritt durn close to $30 bucks to me. And I didn't have to do the extra assembly work. I did end up getting a Toyota oem switch later on to replace the lightforces supplied one, but I didn't get ripped off for $20 for it, I got it for $10 at my local Toyota parts dept, just call and tell them you want internet pricing and you're on your way to pick it up.

I think the hella 4000's would beat the 170's.
