Liftgate glass broken

I was driving along this afternoon when I suddenly heard a loud bang and feeling hot since I had the a/c on. I look through the rear view mirror and the glass was gone. I don't know how it happened but I'm so glad that my 4 1/2 year old son wasn't hurt. He was seated in his car seat at the back when this happened. I immediately turn around and head home and called the dealership for an estimate. Arlington Toyota of Jacksonville quoted me $428 for the glass and $120 for labor. That's when I decided to call my insurance company (USAA) and they told me to take it to Arlington Toyota since it's one of their authorized repair facility. All in all, I only have to pay $150 for the deductible and the agent assured me that my premium won't go up since it was an accident. I really like USAA. Thay know how to take care of their customers. Hopefully I'll get my rig back tomorrow afternoon since my ship is going to the lobster festival in Maine on wednesday. That's for listening.

That's weird, do you know how that happened??
Glad to hear about the insurance and your son's welfare - it's good that you're looking on the bright side

I'm not really sure as to what happened. The agent was so nice that she said it might be a rock that got kick up by somebody's tires. But then again, I'm just glad that my son is okay. I don't mine spending money for the repairs as long as everybody is alright.
