I'd hate to give up the little bit of travel we get with IFS anyway. Guess she'll stay the way she is!

BTW: when I get the 285's, approximately how much will I need to grind down the upper A arm? I'm trying to stick to the smallest 285's out there. The Trxus MT is 32.7" dia and 11.2" wide.
You could always purchase wheel spacers aka hub adapters like I did fixed my rubbing even with my big ole swampers. besides now with my 285's the tires are level with the outside of the limited flares.

How have the spacers been vibration wise? I've heard a few horror stories about them. I do like the look of the tires filling out the fender flares! What size spacers are they? Where'd you find them at the best price?

No horror stories yet I rotate my tires often every 3-5k and like I said in other post I drive btwn 35-50k a year so OFTEN. I purchased them on ebay after shopping my option on marlin crawler and a few others. I think they are 1" ran me about $60 a set. Initially wasnt concerned about where the tires would site but lucked out in clearing a arms and looking perfect. I check them religiously.

Sounds like spacers might be the cheapest way to go. Sonoran Steel gets $250 for modded upper A arms.

yeah, and cheap works 90% of the time, but usually the more expensive solutions are also the more permanent and safer of the solutions....

just my $0.02

So, you'd suggest the modded upper a's bamachem? How well do you think the spacers would hold up while wheeling? I'm assuming the new uppers a's would do fine.

the spacers are OK. however, in my mind, the arms are a better solution.

If you plan on ever changing out the rims, then the proper back spaced rims is the best solution.

Spacers are a gamble like Andy said. I gambled and lost. Vibrations at 60-70mph with good balanced tires.

If you can get a set of Land Cruiser or LX450 rims that seems to be the best low bling fix next to a set of black steelies which is fine but a totally diff look.

The LC and LX450 rims are 16 x 8 right? What is the backspacing on those? What is stock backspacing?

stock is 4.375" LC/LX 16x8's are 4.5". however, the real difference is in the extra 1" of width, which creates less tire "bulge" after it's mounted.
