Left rear brake sticking
so my left rear wheel has started locking as you come to a stop, it only happens at slow speeds like when you have almost come to a stop it just locks up, then it will only release if you back up a little (which usually happens from the jerking motion when it locks) also it does not happen in reverse.
I put 2” lift shackles on the truck about a year ago (the springs were sagging about 1 inch so really only about 1” of lift) and I put a 2” body lift on about 5 months ago. And about 3 months ago I replaced part of the rear left parking brake because it had seized up. The brakes were working fine after all that till this started about a month ago. Any ideas? Thanks

oh 1 more thing, about 2 months ago I had extended stainless steal brake lines installed and the brakes flushed, they have worked fine for at least a month after that with no prob.
Could I need to reposition the LSPV? I thought raising that would only give more braking power to the rear?

1" I doubt it. How well did you regrease the adjusters when you were last in there?
BTW, In ice a short while ago I caught my rear tires (both though) locking up well before the fronts caught, But I think that is because of the rear sag on my truck. I think I am right anyway, the lower the rear goes the more pressure it sends to the rear? or is it the other way around?

I don't know really, maybe go back in there and loosen up the adjuster. You should be able to do it without having to remove the drum by going through that access hole with a screwdriver, assuming yours is the same as the pickups. But if it's another problem then it would only be masking it, so I guess that would be your call.
Before you do that though get both rear tires off the ground, without the ebrake on, check to see if each tires has about the same amount of drag. If the adjustment is off the left tire should have more drag on it.

I would think if it were the lspv acting up that both tires would be locking not just one. But I don't know how that locker would affect things like this. And to confirm this is without the elocker on right? And you don't have ABS right?

open up your drum and see if there's any gear oil in there. i was having the exact same problem and a blown axle seal was the culprit. i think the oil was causing the abs sensor to spaz out. the drum wasn't filled with oil but had oily residue all over everything. once i replaced the seal the problem disappeared.

I would for sure pull the drum and see what is going on something is not right
When you state it will only release when backing up it sounds like a spring came off or broke or something is loose.

My 4Runner did that once, it wound up being the anchor pin broke causing the front shoe to ride up and lock the brake down on that side. Maybe not likely for you as in my situation I had to do an immediate driveway repair because it wouldn't move forwards or backwards on that side wheel.

Hey I have the same exact problem, I have rebuilt the diff, replaced the bearings and all kinds of stuff cos the problem is just that wierd, it locks up tight, then you back up a bit, yer free to go, sometimes it locks up fast under light braking other times slow both at slow speeds. my truck is not lifted, it is stock all around, my next move is to replace every part in that brake, I've heard contaminated brake shoes can do this, I'll let ya know what I find out, untill then we'll be the guys using lower gears and keeping our feet off the stupid self locking brake
