If it does you can get a resistor from Vleds that will make it look like a normal light and thus not come on. Though i have LED's in my 3rd and it doesn't come on.

impressive from all of you-but still all this mention of the ABS lights coming on-adding resistors is easy and so on. I love jumping back into old upgrade threads that I have put off.

Is there a product we can just buy that is truly plug and play and forget about it?

That's the true test for me...

I get what all you guys are saying about resistors and such but I don't want to have to figure it all out you know what I mean? For a $10 mod it just too much time involved. The normal CHMSL bulbs have worked fine for all this time-they are $4 but of course no bling or added visibility benefits. I get that.

If one of you wants to interpret this as "Hey another potential customer!" then feel free. PM me or whatever.

People would pay $30 and upwards just to have it easy schmeezy.

Overall I get the impression that adding LED tails and/or LED 3rd brake light will cause a possibility of the ABS light malfunctioning. So I am happy to sit back and let you all perfect it.

If there is true plug and play out there I figure you guys are the ones that know about it. Thanks for the frugal mentality. If you all were steering me to the Lambo door hinges we would have some issues....

Ron, I don't think it is as difficult as you may think;

thanks Godzilla for the links.

But following along on the discussion-particularly the bottom link there is talk of some folks needing load equalizers and others do not. I believe that discussion is centered specifically on LED tail-lights and not the LED 3rd brake light.

With regards to the top link- LED third brake light offerings-it seems those do not necessarily seal real well. I'll be waiting a bit longer to see how these all shake out.

In the meantime if you inventor types want to contract with me to build one and sell me- I am all ears.

I like how that looks! Do you have a diagram of how you soldered everything?? I am new to LEDs so anything would be much appreciated. I took a look at your pictures but it's too hard to tell what is connected..Thank you!!
