Leaking oil

Well, I posted up here a couple days ago, about my auto tranny leaking. Well, after a better inspection the next day (in daylight for the first time), I realized that it is oil that is dripping. It seems to be coming from the passenger side of the engine and it is a fairly steady drip (but only when the engine is on). As of now, I haven't been able to pinpoint the exactly location its coming from. I have a suspicion that it is where the oil pan meets the bottom of the block. Someone has over the years, siliconed the pan on.....isn't that supposed to be a gasket?
Has anyone else had this problem? or a similer leaking oil problem?
I dripped oil all over my girlfriend's driveway, and her dad wasn't too pleased, so I want to get this fixed ASAP. hahaha.
Any help or anything would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Mark
p.s. If it is the oil pan....is it really as hard as it looks to get it out? My dad was telling me he has done it a bunch of times on his old cars....and that it was easy. I then told him to go look at my pan......after he looked, all I heard was mulitiple profanities followed by a sarcastic "hahahaha, yeeeahh, good luck with that"

What color is the oil? Can you post a pic of the location you suspect the leak is coming from? It could be a number of things...rear main seal, oil pan gasket, etc.

Give us more detailed info and we will narrow it down for you.

I also suggest going to the pressure washer and getting it REALLY clean under there. That will allow you to see where the leak is coming from better.
