if you don't like the sound of the LCE Header with the flowmaster i highly recommend a flow through designed muffler, like the magnaflow that LCE sells with there kits, i have heard both, and personally think that the magnaflow muffler sounds a lot better

Besides, I got a Magnaflow cat off of Ebay for about $50 and I likes how shiny it is next to my rusted old Flowmaster

EDIT:
Oh yeah, I'm loving my headers
I don't like the fact that whatever the hell was painted/coated on them are peeling off but the power gains are welcome

I have a 22re and I was just looking to upgrade my cat and headers. Will they fit w/o any modifications? What kind of power increase have you noticed and is it worth the money??

I have the LC header and complete exhaust too. I have a few problems. One the pipe between the header and the cat hits the torsion bar mount...rattles and drives me crazy..two since installing the header and exhaust I get a CEL can't remember the number something to do with the EGR. I replaced the EGR valve at 159 dollars (not cheap) still get the error. Seems to have more to do with exhaust temp or flow than anything else. if I am driving the truck hard 70+ miles an hour on the highway the cel goes away. if I just cruise the light comes back. doesnt seem to effect the running of the truck just keep getting the light.

I do feel a power increase though.

just my 2 cents

I did everything at once (headers, cat) to replace a leaky gasket on the manifold. I bought the truck like that so I can't say whether or not there was a great significant boost in power between stock and header. All I know is that I climbed into my truck and LOVED the sound and better acceleration and top speed I got with everything fixed up.
