Latest Cheapest Way to Lift 1997 4Runner Sr5
#1
I have a 1997 4runner 3.4L SR5 and my alignment is off said sears"Which i knew because i always have to turn my sterring wheel like 20% a certain way to keep it straight", Sears said "THey cannot perform the alignment until i replace parts they said": i need new tie rods and a few other things i cannot remember, any ideas??
Also i was interested in lifting my truck up 1.5 - 2 inches. what is the cheapest way to do this?
i was looking at
Daystar KT09106BK 2.5" Lift Kit with Bumps and Boots:
and
Prothane 18-1701-BL Black 2.5" Lift Front Coil Spring Lift Spacer Kit
what other options or brands do you recommend that dont require changing to much oem parts or cost alot of money..
Ive googled alot but alot of the posts are really old so i wanted to know if there were any updates or newer models or brands of body lifts..
*****THIS IS FOR ON ROAD use,
i wont be tearing it up OFFRoad!!!
THANKS!!!

You can lift it using the spacers as you found out but a better and not much more expensive way would be to use FJ80 Landcruiser springs in the rear and Tundra TRD springs up front.
You could do a body lift as well, that's probably the cheapest way to go.

http://4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Toyo...BodyLift.shtml for body lift. I'd stick with a 1.5" or 2" body. Parts should be around $200.
