just did a sas and my steering angle is not right but no one knows what it should be set at, i am looking for what degree the steering nuckle should be tward the front or tward the rear just not sure. it is at 0 right now thought that was right but was told that is the prob with the bump steer i have please help

 

bump steer and sas dont have a whole lot to do with each other

 

might you be refering to Caster?if your camber is off your lowwer frame has spread and i can tell you how to fix that.

 

i thought you had a yota ;anyway alignment basics are all similar

 

the upper bearing of the knuckle should be pointed slightly back, looks like those long shackles that you have on there would tilt the axle in the wrong direction, Toyota's have the shackle in the rear, you could try to shim the axle back down where it needs to be, that should fix your problem

 

that is what i asked as it is now the knuckles are flat so how many degrees tilt should it have

 

well, I'm not sure on the exact measurement, but if you didn't modify the spring pads, they should be level to the ground, that will get you close

Best option is to get the caster angle checked at a local alignment shop (see if you can get a good deal on a check-only), then get some shims made to correct the angle back into the factory range:

I find about 1 degree more caster than the factory setting works well, gives a more stable setup, less prone to death wobble with taller/wider tires.

 

if you put caster where it should be,then you screw up pinion angle.i'd set caster to about 4 degrees positive and deal with the occasional failed u joint.
