K&N Intake question...

I am looking putting the K&N intake on my '91 4Runner (4 banger). My questions to you all that have it already - 1) Does it really help your fuel economy? and 2) Do you really get any more hp out of it? The reason why I ask is the last 2 people I have talked to about these say that you don't really get what you pay for... So I figured there is no better place to ask than YT!!!! Thanks for the help (AGAIN!!)

Hello
Yes you will see an increase in milage IF you just cruise and don't mash it to the floor all the time.
Yes you will see a gain in power (Not much w/ this modd alone though).
Suggest making a cold air box around it. That way you can keep the intake temps down and get a few more hp (being it draws it's air from within the engine bay).
C-YA!!

Ill be selling my Cone filter and adapter in the next couple weeks when I finish my snorkle if your interested

$10 plus shipping.

The cone filter is great, better throttle response, better sound, better milage.

Only problem is it LOVES to suck up water.

Let me know if your interested.
