Question "Just to look good" Mods

I know that a lot/ most people in this forum are off-roadies, but I'd like to check out some pictures of 4runners concentrating on a style vs off-road performance. I need inspiration and tips on where to start.

A small lift should work out great if you would like to just add some more rubber under your rig. Paul (the previous post) runs the Daystar 2.5" lift, that might work out for you!

I suppose it is really a matter of what "look" you want to get...more street or more off-road? I know you said you wanted to concentrate on a style, however, there are various styles...good example is Paul's rig and my rig.

Best of luck!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Mike

I used to off-road alot, but I decided the wear-and-tear wasn't worth it. I've got a 2000 4Runner and went for the street-look instead of the off-road look. check it out @

OH !@#$%!!!! Guess who has a new dimple on his left rear bumper. Love the vehicles... I now have a vision for my ride.
Is there a site for Car Talk 101? Or any good books? I can't tell the difference between an intake valve and a spark plug. Oh i have a new mod... I changed my Gas Cap... Turns out the old one was faulty.

That is pretty sweet. I really like your 4Runner. Nice work.

I vote for a grille guard. I have a Manik and I think it looks great. It will not provide the protection that an ARB will, but it looks good nonetheless. I also have a set of PIAA 520 fog lights and they look really sweet on the grille guard. I would say look into that for a nice mod. :fireman:

The turn signals in your bumper are a orange lense. I got some clear ones from Burtman Industries . They are clear lenses instead of the stock orange ones. They look really cool and alot better than the stock ones. You have to use orange bulbs in them to have them legal, but they look and work great. Check them out! :fireman:

Nice truck! I saw your truck on SD a while ago and really liked it. I especially like your wheels. Simple and sporty, yet elegant.

I've gone for the sporty look too. some old-ish pics on sounddomain. I kinda stopped working on my truck though. Just wanted to stop spending money. I need to get new foglights that don't stand out as much, but I did get new clear bumper lights that aren't as gross lookin

pfdaxe, what kind of fender lights are those and where'd you get them? I've been lookin for ones like those

I bought fender turn signals at www.autotoys.com

They have a wide selection of accessories.
