Jerri cans sandbalsted & primed...
It is so nice having a shop that you are buddy buddy with who just happens to have a sand blasting cabinet..
Now I am going to let them set a while to allow the primer to cure and make the brackets for them..
(Plus, if I scratch them while making the brackets I won't care..)

Partszar.. Did you order the set I posted?? The "cleaning kit"??
It is a pretty cool kit, and I am still torn wether or not to use the whole kit, or just the gas cans.. If I mount the cans on the edge with the spout pointing up, and make the bracket to ride close to my roof, they will stay under the top of my safari rack... I have to play with that later....
BTW, my cans came in brand new and have never had gas in them just like they said... gaskets look great and the paint inside the can is great... They has minor rust like around the center seam, but overall are in great shape.. (Plus, I now have a whole bunch of new parts cleaning brushes..)

Bob.. that is red primer I will be painting them bright gas can red when I am done.. But that is the Rustoilzum Red Primer.. It needs a loon time to cure properly.. But that is ok, I have some time from this step untill I am ready to paint them... I could of sandblasted them later, but the offer of the sandblast cabinet was fresh, and I had a slow day and got done work today at 11 (Nice thing with my job.. Slow day?? the rest is yours!)
Colemans Military Surplus
Let me know if that link works..
I bought them as a set of a "parts cleaning kit" for $20
Go to "view catalouge" then down to "Shop" and it is on page 2
PS.. keep in mind, they are 5 liter cans.. not 5 gallon. They are about 12" x 4" and hold about 1.5 gallons. But that is still 3 gallons all told, and enough for what I want them for..
