Introducing my 4Runner... w/ pics!

Hello Everyone,
Im relatively new to this forum, Ive owned my 4Runner for about 6 month now and I figured it was about time to introduce her to you all. Ive done a few small mods to her but nothing too drastic. I live in south Orange County, CA so mud to play in is a little scarce. haha. Just remember to be gentle, she's my baby.

My first mod was clear corner and bumper lights. I dont have any pictures before this one, since I made the change the first week. I also installed a Pioneer cd player with a direct aux hookup with new polk speakers up front and in the back.

Almost stock:

My second mod was to change out the stock interior lighting with white/blue leds. I have to thank alot of you here for the great threads on interior lighting. It made it real easy to do. I also replaced the stock running boards with nerf bars, which I have since welded for additional support. I like them a lot better than the stock running boards and I can still get in! (I know theyre not sliders, but its more of a daily driver anyway, be nice)

Interior:

LEDs:

Nerf Bars:

Since then, I have tinted the windows, 20% up front and 20% on top of the stock tint for the rear windows. Funny thing is, the night after I got the windows tinted some punk kid shot my rear passenger window with a bb gun. I cried a little. Haha. Heres a pic:

I also debadged the side and the back emblems.

Debadging:

So this is her now:

Oh, I forgot to mention that I took off the Bull Bar up front last week. I like the look without it for some reason. I know alot of you guys are back east but the Bull Bar for sale if anyone closer wants it. Make me a realistic offer. Im thinking about changing out the bumpers for black ones and painting the emblems that remain black as well? Any thoughts? What do you guys think? Thanks for checking her out.

Did I mention that this is a 98 4Runner, Limited edition w/ 4wd? Im at about 97,000 miles. Now you know!

You are definitely headed in the right direction, I really like the LED dash mod, how easy is it to replace those bulbs?

Looks BA to me! but I'd check into the other stock 2in receiver hitch that doesn't hang so low.

Great looking truck! As I'm sure you've seen, You don't really have to do anything to these trucks to make totally capable. I love that color.

Running boards off now! Same with the tail light protector, its a damage multiplier.

Great looking interior though. Cool LEDs.

I like the lighting as the OEM lighting seems pretty dim at times.

Thanks for the posts. The LEDs came from 3 different places actually. The dash lighting (which is really quick and easy, just removal of some panels and mounting screws.) came from autolumination & the dome/map lights I got from Oznium, I think. Do a search here for Interior Lighting and there is a thread that has a wealth of information on the how and where...

As far as what's next, I mentioned wanting to de-chrome, maybe paint-match my bumpers and get or do a Pearl Black emblem mod. I've never been a huge fan of chrome so I want it off. Just a personal thing, I guess. I want more aggresive tires and a small lift eventually. This site has killed me as far as ideas and great ways to do things. Its never done. Haha.

Anyone know where I can get the black bumpers for cheaper than the dealerships?

Great looking Runner, I too love the color .

You can always take a look on eBay for bumpers. I've seen black bumpers for 3rd gens go for around $100 each including shipping.

Andy.
