Intermittent Chirping from AC compressor?

So I was having this weird chirp here and there. I noticed it only happened when the ac was on. I called a ac place where I get my ac work done and they said it is trying to lock up and will eventually lock up. Thoughts?

Well I replaced the belt some months ago 6 or so. I made sure they weren't too tight or too loose but the squeak was loud ad continuous at one point in time. Almost like the belt was too tight. I'll have to check.

Come to think of it I'm not sure when the heck I replaced the belts but I checked them and I thought they were tight enough. I loosened the ac belt tensioner adj. 1/4 turn and made sure it moved. Turned the truck over and waited....... sheeeeereeeek and then the belt stopped moving so I shut it down. At this point it was obvious the belt wasn't tight enough initially (ot overtightened as I had imagined). I tightened it up and tada no more noises. I went ahead and tightened the other two belts to similar tension and re-tightened all the mounts just in case.

Better than an a/c compressor that's for sure.

No kidding I think they run $390 for a reman. and $437 New or $328 from toyotapartsales.com (I love those guys always better deals). I mean the truck only has 206K I Knoew the AC shouldn't die yet. Then there the install cost my God if you've ever seen where it's located it would be a (PIA*10)^234 for you math people.
