interior question

last night i filled my interior with swamp. i pulled the carpet today and i think its probably ruined, the foam on the back side was falling apart everywhere. Has anyone every put bed liner on the inside of a 3rd gen. I started making a cover for the rear heater stuff, or i might jsut pull it. the ECU that was on the floorboard is now behind the dash, and the factory alarm is removed. i dont want to mess with cleaning the old carpet, cause it was so bad, and im really not into looking for a new one either, what is ya'lls opinion on this? Thanks.

You would have to remove EVERYTHING. You would be taping the dash & windows all off and if you have it done by a pro it will cost you big time. I think a simple bedliner cost is around $400-$600. The local LineX shop will not just paint say a bumper. They told me they have to charge it out like a bed. I called BS & gave up on LineX'ing my sliders. Good luck though, sounds like a real nasty mess to deal with.

I drowned my interior and took it to a detail shop .. where they guys spent 8 hours on it ... here is what you can do .. grab one of those carpet cleaning machines, and really scrub out the interior .. your going to have to unbolt seats, pull out the carpet .. clean it off .. and then remove all the mud on the inside under the mud. That foam under the carpet in the back is gone .. go to home depot or a carpet store and get some carpet insulation and stick that under there instead.

good luck

i took the carpet in the back of my buddies truck to the car wash and pressure wahed all the muck out of it, then soaped it up and washed again. its gonna stay out for the next week. ill put it back in after i go home next week. it took me like 15 min to pull all the seats and get it out, real easy. i did notice i had a bt of rust around where the frons seat belts bolt to the floor, so i am going to address that first, and probably get some roll on bed liner and do the inside before the carpet goes back in. if it goes back in. that is if it doesnt stink when it dries.
