Scott, I'd be up for the Extreme Air. I checked all the specs. This is my input...

ARB is obviously a little small. It's designed for the lockers and CAN be used for tires.

The Quick Air maxes at 70 PSI. That's too low. ARB lockers run at 50-80lbs, so it's barely enough at max. Air tool run at about 90psi - not enough pressure for this.

I didn't see the prices on the VIAIR, but the big models with good output had very limited duty cycle. The 100% duty cycle units have a much lower CFM rating.

The extreme air combined the 100% duty cycle, high output and high pressure.

Almost all the air tanks everyone uses will hold 150 psi. Getting this pressue up is critical for reseating beads and storing air. I know you know the math, but a 5 gallon tank holds twice as much air at 140psi than it does at 70 psi...

If you go with the extreme air units, get you're best price and I'm in!

I have one their regular extremeair compressors that fits perfectly in my bay I love it and boy it works wonders.

Filled all 4 tires from 15psi to 36psi in about 1.5min each. Total time was less than 6-8 min or so. I would definitely get this if you're searching for the ultimate onboard air compressor.

Mike at xtreme should be able to get a group buy going I believe. Someone give him a buzz!

I'd be interested in the Extremeaire, but would need a price to see if I can get the Finance Minister to agree.

FWIW, here's a compressor that's similar to the Extremeaire but a lot cheaper.

Okay, I emailed Mike at Xtrememoffroad yesterday saying we had 8 people interested in the Extrememaire products. We have picked up three more interested people since then. Hopefully Mike can do something for us and I will find out in the next few days.

jacksonpt, would you be willing to go the Extremeaire route instead of the Quickair 3? The quickair at 4Wheel Parts is $400 while list for the Extremeaire is about $379, $479 for the portable version.

I just bought one of those for $200. Same specs as the Extremeair, 4cfm@0psi 3/4hp. We'll see how it works when I get it.

More than likely the compressor needs to be hardmounted. I doubt they sell a portable version but you could contact the place and ask. Making it portable isn't really that hard, you just gotta find all the parts needed. That's what I did w/ my Viair 450.

Here I was all set to call Mike today, I open my email, and I have a response!

Here are the prices Mike gave me.

"If you all are still interested here is some pricing:

EXTREMEAIRE COMPRESSOR $315.00
EXTREMEAIRE PORTABLE $399.00
EXTREMEAIRE JR $170.00
EXTREMEAIRE JR PORTABLE $230.00

Let me know how these prices work for you all!

Hope all is well!

Mike"

Compare them to the prices
here and you will see what a good deal this is.

Okay, now I gotta go beg the wife for permission.

Can a mod sticky this so it doesn't get lost again?
