Fuel filter:
Unscrew the gas cap before you start and make sure you don't have any open flame or sparks anywhere. You might want to do this outside or with a bucket nearby - you WILL dump some gas on the floor.
PCV:
If it's old the grommet around it can be as hard as rock. I had a hell of a time removing the PCV out of my 1st gen and ended up replacing the grommet. A couple squirts with WD-40 was all I needed.
O2:
Actually before you start the whole thing, disconnect the battery. Make sure whatever you disconnect is NOWHERE near the battery. An errant spark with fuel on the floor could be bad.
That's what I think anyway.

2 words for the fuel filter thing.
Crow's foot wrenches
(OK, so it is 3 words)
Anyway, it gets kinda cramped up there by the torsion bars and stuff. If you can't get things loose with your flare nut wrench, you can use a crow's foot with a long extension so you can put some power to it with the breaker bar.
This is what it took on my 89. YMMV.
Toyota dealership: What do you need a fuel filter for?
Me: Well she has 129,000 miles on 'er. Probably due for a change.
Toyota Dealership: We change the fuel filter every time we change the ENGINE.
I ended up changing it at 236,000 miles. Runs the same.
