All right, here's the problem, it has happened about 4 times in the past month, I turn the key to start the eng and nothing happens, then I turn it a couple more times and the truck starts, the times that it doesn't start up I still have all the lights on the dashboard come on, the battery is two weeks old, the terminals to the battery are very clean, no rust, and one more thing when it doesn't start I don't hear any clicking from the starter like if it was going out, so I don't think it's the starter.......could a ignition relay be the cause???? maybe the starter solenoid??
By the way it is a 97Runner, auto,4wd.

 

this is a common problem on toyotas, its most likely the starter contacts.... do some reading up on them here: www.4crawler.com

 

I don't hear any clicking sounds from the starter though, I think I'm going to try to get the starter relay and try that first since it looks like it's the easiest to do. I hope it's not too much.
