IAC and choke

IAC and choke
I have a 2000 4runner with a 3.4. I was having stalling problems so I removed and cleaned the IAC. Since cleaning the IAC I haven't had a stall and seems to run fine. I notice a difference on start up. Before it used to rev up to 1500 or so then slowly idle down. Now she just starts up into the low idle state. Any recommendations on what I could check?

The PCV valve is easy to get to. Remove it and shake it. If you can't hear the little ball or whatever moving inside, it needs to be replaced. You may just need to reset the ECM by pulling the - or + cable off the battery for 45 min or so. It can take a day or 2 for the computer to adjust to the new clean IAC so give it a couple more days after trying this stuff.

WindJunkie did you take off the magnet piece of the IAC valve when you were cleaning the valve? When I cleaned the Valve I took off that piece and when i went to reseal it I used to much sealant and it made the magnet stick open and my idle was screwed up on a cold start. It would start at 750 rpm and as it warmed up it would sit around 1200rpm.
