Don't forget about good set of highway tires to go along with the suspension....The Goodyear Fortera is a cross between the Eagle and Wrangler. A soft luxury SUV ride with a truck tread.

 

NOPI.com sells Eibach rear 1" lift springs. I don't know how legit these are since I went to the Eibach website, and they didn't list the 4Runner as a model they make shocks for. However, I hear that Nopi is a very respectable company (more for tricked out cars than trucks). My friend has a set of Eibach's in his Eclipse, and they are SUPER nice. well, that's my two cents

you guys just gave me a good idea, thanks. my mom is all worried about when i lift, my truck being unsafe and me rolling over. but with the stiffer shocks, it will probably be safer. well maybe not, but that's what i'll tell her. sway bars too..... if they arn't too expensive, i'll look into it...

and yochdog, you might want to look into bilstein or edelbrock shocks. they seem to be very popular and help the ride quite a bit. i've heard a lot of bad thigns about the rancho 9000's, but they are adjustable.... anyway good luck and hope you like what you choose.
