I Used My Winch !!!

Yes that's right after 14 months of rideing quietly in the bumper, I finally used it.

My better judgement got the best of me and I agreed to take my inlaws wheeling. This little gem is a 94 YJ with 3.07 gears and 33's and full open diffs. Turned out his 4WD was not working, I noticed that his front tires were not spinning when he was stuck, but figured it was some dumb Jeep/Dana30 thing. Imagine that, a Jeep with a broken part.

Anyway, this is an easy trail that they all though was hard. The stupid things they did had me rolling my eyes all day long. To top it off, I got all the kids so I got to run daycare and wheel.

On the other hand, Erika did real well in the FJ-62. I'll take her out again.

Not to mention take pictures too!

I never used the one I had on my Taco but once, but boy am I glad I had it when I needed it or I'd been up the river not just without a paddle but without a boat!

Yeah, that's the ledge, a minor bump in the trail.

Hey, what if your in-laws read this?Busted!

The FJ looks so cool

btw, I saw an article on a new winch line called X-LINE that is about 10 pounds lighter than a regular winch line. I think it was petersons off-road mag ...

Nice job Steve.
I have only used my winch a few times, but it's saved the day, and they are a very cool addition to have on a 4x4.

Can I have your FJ
I dig those so much.

That's your wife, right? Doesn't that add new meaning to the term "wheeling partner"? Did she enjoy herself?

I told you they were stupid. It's a Master Pull, but yes you are right. I missed the All Pro Hammers event for these peoples wedding.

Erika had a really good time and enjoyed driving, that it why she would never go, never wanted to be the passenger. Thank God she is normal. They will never see this, they are "Jeep" people.

Glad to see the cherry got poped, it looked pretty close a couple of time this summer...

Steve, you sure did a lot of wheeling without using that. I can't believe it.

Congrats on having to use your winch for a Jeep. I had to use mine twice for a 2003 Jeep Wrangler RUBICON. So much for the mightiest factory jeep ever. The only other time was to recover a 2WD Dodge Dakota that almost had gone off a cliff. (Another Chrysler product?) For So who was it that makes the "Jeep Recovery Vehicle" stickers again?
