I have a bird in my 4runner.

I am hearing a chirp chirp chirp sound coming from underneath. I went ahead and greased up the u-joints. I jacked the thing up on jackstands and put her in gear let it spin and there is a very amnnoying high pitched chirp sound not real loud but you can hear it.

Ive had the same noise. The lubing usually does the trick. Make sure you're getting all the nipples.

Also, you may need to drop the car down and drive it before the lube makes it way around the entire contacted area?

Usually, the squeal/squeak that comes and goes with your clutch pedal is the throwout bearing getting dry and needing to be replaced.

clutch has been replaced about 5,000 miles ago with re-surfaced flywheel, throwout bearing, pilot bearing and pressure plate. I'll check that pinion seal metal thing. It only does itwhen you hit about 20 mph and you can really hear it when its coasting goin' downhill (muffler drone drowns it out a little) Think it will be ok to drive to work or should I park it?

I know what you are talking about, my throwout bearing was going out (along w/the clutch) at that time clutch was replaced, noise was gone.Well this is a different squeak now I think its coming from the rear. "I don't wanna play anymore."
