welcome Rugby10

Hey congrats on your purchase. don't knock the 3.0 its a good engine and there are several low buck mods you can do to wake it up. i'd ask for pics too but since i don't have any of my baby up it would be a little rude of me Cheers Aviator oh yeah I like the signature too.

So tell us more - how many miles, what equipment and what did it cost if you don't mind my asking?

I got my 95 4X4 SR5 Runner with the 3.0 just about 3 years ago. I am in Canada so you will need to adjust a couple of things like mileage and price. My truck had about 109K Km on it so that would be about 68 K Miles then. It now has about 146K Km so that is about 90K miles. so far so good - a clutch but really nothing else except shocks, brakes etc - wear items. I paid $15K Cdn for it then. I assume I could still get $10K Cdn for it. It has the sunroof and pwr windows, locks etc but unfortunately no A/C. I bought it in winter and thought I could add it if necessary. I haven't really needed it. If you partially roll down the tailgate window and open the front windows a bit you get pretty good flow through of air. I would still like to gather the bits and pieces and install A/C but I may not ever get to it either. I have the butt sag and need to swap the back springs but again it is not something that has to be done yesterday. I have the 31X 10.5 tires and find it goes pretty well through the snow. The 3.0 is not a tire burner but I have learned to like it. So long as I don't have the dreaded head gasket failure I will be happy. So far so good.

hey oldsub!

Grab your ownership and go to the nearest dealership and check to see if the recall on the headgaskets was done... if not they'll do it (for free I think) and if its been done no worries the new gaskets are solid. If you want some go out of the 3.0 invest in a K&N airfilter (FIPK if you can swing it ) and throw in a free flow cat and wider exhaust and she'll sqeal a little for you Aviator

Here is one pic of the rig, bone stock. (for now).

I bought a remote for the Kick A$$ yota security system, that will stop all intuders with a blast from the machine gun...................... horn

Anyway, those cheese heads were going to chare me $40 for the extremely daunting task of;

1. turn key to "on" position
2. press little green button on brain unit under seat
3. press top buton on remote when led lights up
4. If the truck honks, you're done

Un-Freaking-real

I'm really happy with it and ready to throw some dinero down on some BLING BLING! First on the list is New Shoes (possibly Duelers). The I'll add the K&N FIPK, I was qouted $164 this afternoon. Then I'll add a magnaflow or borla or something. Then I'll add some bils for some more BLING. Then I'll add...

Forget the K&N FIPK and save about $144 by doing the ISR Mod for about $20 of items from Home Depot.

Congrats on the purchase.....that color is nice......and the truck looks in great shape!

Yeah, She needs an A$$ lift. How much, what kind, and where should I look into Downey springs?

She will need new shoes in the next 3000 miles or so, So I have no choice but to do that first.

welcome to the wonderful world of toyota! as for the downeys....i think you can buy them from downey direct. also, you could probably get them from mike at xtreme offroad, but dont quote me on that. if you get downeys , get the HD version. i do believe that is the spring of choice for getting rid of the saggyness and i think those go for around 160ish...hope this helps
