I closed my deckplate - sad day.

After reading this forum for a while now I decided to close my deckplate. The power loss makes me sad

The general consensus seems to be that if you have a supercharger and the deckplate mod you need fuel delivery upgrades.

The suggestions from Gadget are substantial in my opinion and since I want to keep the 4Runner for at least 10 more years, I decided to close things up.

If any of the experts out there have a different opinion, then please share them.

To make matters worse, I seem to be getting worse fuel economy

I sad day indeed.

Aww, reminds me of the day I decided to take off the cone filter and replace the airbox. Wish I could tell you different, but I think your concensus is correct. Though if its giving you better gas mileage than why not keep it open? Are you getting bad pinging? if there are no problems then I don't see why you shouldn't. Espcially if your loosing power. The whole thing is that you should be loosing power by adding more air. If its workign for you, then why not use it? Right? guys?

edit: You going to be up to comming out this weekend? I'll be up thurs-friday. Want to set a day to meet? PM me if ya want.
