OK, now I am feeling the gains. It appears that these headers really helped the midrange power more than anything, especially at partial throttle. I think I had a problem with the passenger side crossover at the collector, where I discovered a very small leak. Anyway, with a slight reposition of the crossover, I appear to have realized the gain of the headers. I feel better now…

I've been back and fourth with getting headers or not but I think after reading all this I'm definetley going to pass on them. I would not be installing myself and that just puts this at way to high of a price to be worth it for the small gains. Guess I gotta keep looking for other ways to acheive more power. I guess I'm kind of out of luck unless I go with water injection from URD. Seems like I've done everything else

A body lift makes the install way easier...but I know what you are saying. Regardless, I still like them and the HP gains are really apparent now that I changed to 4.30 gears.

Yea.. just looking at $1000 when its all said and done.. doesn't seem worth it. I really guess theres not much else to do other than the water injection. Just not sure if I want to do that or not. If I was willing and able to install the headers myself I'd probably go for it, but I'm just not..

Shoot, you must be even more power hungry than me. I would imagine that all those mods you got there would satisfy even the craziest speed freak!

I guess the old saying about never having enough is true...

Hmmm, water injection or headers? Any idea on the power gains of water injection?

Well.. My truck is still not tuned properly, but as of now I'm very disappointed with the gains. I also have the URD smaller pulley that I'm waiting to put on untill I can get it tuned for it. I assume its because my truck is not tuned properly yet, but I've been in other Tacos just JUST a supercharger and they seem to be much faster than mine. I'm not quite sure what the claimed gains are with the water injection.

30-70MPH WOT 3rd gear time was 11.7....back down around 11.66
What kind of hand watch did yo use for those?

(edit: those are not minutes are they?)

(edit #2: ok I noticed you got the 3.FAST, so they are seconds)

Didn't I have this debate with you before?

I used a digital stop watch, 3 runs in each direction, took the average of the "before" run, took the average of the "after" run, and got the delta.

I guess I am just really good at using a stopwatch.

No, I don't think we have. There is nothing to debate though, you are clearly the first human(?) in recorded history to be able to resolve 1/100 of a second

(human reaction times in stop watch tests start from around 15/100 of a second and go up from there with age)

You're right, I fudged the numbers since I am a secret rep for Edelbrock and they wanted to increase sales. You got me.
