When I was young and naive, I totaled my car in the rain by taking a turn too fast and sliding into a curb. ZYeah, I took the turn a bit fast. But guess what I had? Michelins.

NEVER AGAIN.

Having your tires siped is a waste of money and actually compromises the tire's integrity. Factory siped is the only way to go and my Nittos do quite well in the rain and are far better than the BFGs since BFGs have poor water evacuation channels and their tread design pretty dated now for on-road duty.
Just last night I drove to work in a pretty serious storm of rain and sleet and plenty of standing water I hit at 60mph+ and the Nittos barely flinched.
