How to test a fuel pump?

How to test a fuel pump?
I would like to test the fuel pump on my 3vz-e, but Im not exactly sure. I would like to know where to screw on the meter and what are some good meters to buy. I have a tester I have never used it is suppost to test both the vacuum and fuel pump but I dont think it fits my truck.
