Yeah, Get a lunchbox locker, You wont regret it...
Only reason people need huge lifts and really big tires is to compensate for something below the waist...

I also forgot about AxleIke, they all have 4Runners and either no lift or they fixed the sag and have 33x10.5's and go farther than I could imagine. Oh and they are a good bit crazier than I am.

Simple.............GAS!
By the time you get that rig out for spring....... gas will be back up around
2.50 a gallon.
It's no cowinkydink that gas prices are almost free this winter.
Trust me.....your .GOV and mine will be using this few nice months as your first taste of stimulation for 2009 when the prices hike back up in spring.
Count on that!
Not sure about you , but my monthly gas bill is only rivaled by my mortgage payment.

Depending on what type of 'wheeling you are going to do. I agree do the maintenance first. Then if you are just planning on easy to mild trail riding then just go with 31" A/T tires. Build your vehicle for according to your needs. I only do mild trails and I am running 31" all terrains and have another buddy with an equally stock 4x4 for the trails. No need to spend too much money for an overly built trail rig... Unless you have it.
