How much should I ask for my truck?

Hi, I am thinking about selling my Tacoma and buy a Tundra. How much should I ask for it- REALISTICALLY!!!

2003 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Pre Runner V6 w/ TRD package, 3500 miles, color keyed Impulse Red, TRD supercharger, TRD exhaust, TRD transmission cooler, TRD boost gauge, TRD headers, bed extender, Westin Safari BAR, Westin Nerf Bars. Local dealer offered me pay off at $18500 and will sell me a 2003 Tundra Limited 4X4 Step side Access Cab for $25900. What do you guys think?

It depends. Did you install all the TRD stuff or did the dealer. Was is a TRD package of some sort? If not, you'd be better off pulling what you can off of it, selling those parts and returning the truck to near stock condition.

Just my $.02

According to kelly blue book. The trade in value is around $20,700.

If they are only going to give you $18k for it, you would be better off taking all of the mods off, and selling it privately.

If all you want is pay off so you can get into a new one with a clean slate do it.

If you want some equity to take with you into your Tundra, take off the mods you added, sell them independently and then sell the tacoma to the dealer for $18,500. Don't give your truck to the stealer. My motto is "Screw the stealership as much as possible because they are sure going to try and screw you!" It's nothing personal, it's a money thing!

Oh, one last thing, no stealership salesman I have ever dealt with wasn't just a big fat liar! Do your homework and stick it to em!
