How Much Lift???

Hey guys, quick question. I currently have the 3" OME lift from toytec(springs/shocks front and rear) and I like it a whole lot, but I still want more lift!!! What are my options here?? I want to know how high I can go without replacing my CV'S every month(although I do have a lifetime warranty on them now, haha). Anyways, I was thinking maybe some cornfed spacers?? Let me know, thanks!

I dont know how much more you should go with the cv's at the angle they are at, but what do you think about a 2" body lift?

You can either go a modified 6" kit, run some BL up to 3", or heck swap your front with a solid axle and still only go about 6". You would be wise to use some diff spacers if you aren't already. Swapping cv's all the time sucks, yeah you'll get good at it but thats it. If your breaking often and it's the same part. That should be a direct indicator you did some wrong or not in the right order. Crazy angled cv's are the result of not correcting them. The diff drop is recommended for over 2" of lift. You should also look into a adjustable panhard bar for the rear to correct the axle from shifting to the right.

I have some diff. spacers installed already.....kind of wondering if I should trash the OME lift all together or what? And what would a "modified 6 inch lift" be?

That would be a Fabtec "6 lift for a Tacoma. IMO, a waste of money.
What do you use the truck for? Are trying to accomplish something more than just looks? Do you wheel or only ride pavement? It's kinda pointless trying to answer questions when you haven't outlined your intentions.

It all depends on what size tire and if you want to change gears. Is it on the road more then off?

Yes, on road more than off, its my DD, but usually hits the trail once or twice on the weekends(more in the summer). My reasoning for wanting lift is not all for looks, but for bigger tires so I can get a little more ground clearance. I'll run my 33's on there until they wear out and then put 35's on......starting to look like if I HAD to have the lift, a SAS will be my best bet? I have also heard of people getting more "true lift" out of a sonoran steel lift kit rather than OME springs and shocks?

Well according to Sonoran I'm running the same lift or there abouts 3" susp, and 1" BL when he went to 315's or 35's. I'm in the process of re-gearing for my 33's due to a ton of driving and loss of get up and go. If I put 4.88's in I would have no problem clearing the 35's but wont have a lot of room to stuff them. I won't need 35's until one day down the road I get my LandCruiser, but the 4runner will run on 33's or 33.9's (Interco SSR 285) until forever. Take a look and see what you think. This is a slippery $$$ slope.
before body lift
Black rims with 295 nittos
silver rims 285 SSR's, BFG AT, Cooper STT's

After the body lift and 295.75.16 Nitto Terra Graps

Yes possibly.....not sure right now. I like the OME, so I will probably just keep it, plus $$$ is an issue, especially when I need a rear locker, etc.....so does everyone say no on spacers on top of my OME springs/coils? Will it affect performance, or just mainly the fact of adding more stress to the cv angles?

It wont work. 2.5-3" is the max suspension lift you can do without a drop lift (fabtach, trailgear, etc.) If you want more do a BL or a SAS.
